In this three-day program, educators in Grades 3-8 will take a deep dive into the design thinking process as they explore and develop innovative project-based lessons and integrate design-based learning into their teaching methodology. Participants will learn how facilitation and collaboration are important factors in the classroom and pick up new skills engaging with museum guests in an open-ended design challenge.

This year’s focus is connecting sustainability to how we can take cues from the environment and creatures around us to create innovative solutions to real-world problems. We will also make connections to The Tech’s BioDesign Studio, a great way to prep your class for 2017 field trips.

  • Program led by Corrine Takara
  • Hands-on activities to become effective classroom facilitators
  • Discuss process, mindsets, and strategies
