As a Sr. Product Manager at Amazon Future Engineer, Hilah aims to inspire more students from underserved and underrepresented communities to pursue careers in STEM. Hilah currently oversees Amazon Future Engineer’s Exploratory Learning programs to expose students to the ways computer science shows up in the real world. Prior to joining Amazon, Hilah spent 11 years working for KIPP schools as a science and computer science teacher, school administrator, and, most recently as KIPP Foundation’s National Science, Technology, and Engineering Director. During her eight years in the classroom, Hilah received two national teaching awards: the KIPP Harriett Ball Teaching Award and Teach For America Alumni Excellence Award. Hilah has a Masters in Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. In her spare time, Hilah loves to go on hikes, hang out with her one-year old son, or beat her husband in Monopoly Deal.
