Welcome to an introductory workshop on culturally responsive teaching and pedagogies. This course was built on 3 basic principles:

(1) Culture is an asset

(2) Relationships are the foundation to meaningful learning

(3) With the right tools, we can design schools so that all students will succeed

Learning Outcomes:

This workshop engages participants in the following essential questions that you will be able to apply to your practice:

(1) Who am I as an educator?

(2) Who are my students?

(3) How do students show up in my class?

(4) What are the basics of culturally responsive lesson design?
