Decision Makers

How can I help my team grow as innovative practitioners?

About KCI

KCI is a community of innovators, change agents, and leaders creating the next chapter of professional learning for California educators. In partnership with Foothill-De Anza Community College District, we directly support TK-14 educators as well as strategic initiatives identified by our partners to best prepare learners for the future.

Trusted Programs and Workshops

Working with the curriculum team at Foothill College, KCI is proud to offer five CA State Certificate Programs in educational technology and instructional innovation. Additionally, we run half- and full-day workshops and multi-day crash course in topics such as computer science, cybersecurity, social-emotional learning, multi-language learning strategies, and more. We continue to keep our pulse on emerging trends and best practices in Tk-14 education so that we can respond to the changing needs of educators in California and offer the most relevant professional learning.

Small-Group Program Participation

KCI flexes to meet the needs of district decision makers creating lasting change in their communities. We offer opportunities for small groups of same-district teams to participate in our cohort-based state certificate programs and work with school leaders to align district goals to program outcomes so that participants and stakeholders can meet the needs of all learners.

Custom Professional Learning

Since 2000, KCI has designed custom edtech professional learning for schools districts and county offices throughout California. While we have historically served the great San Jose / Bay Area, KCI is increasing our reach to underserved communities in Central and Southern California as part of our 3-year strategic plan.

Strategic Partners

We understand that lasting change happens when the right partners come together to plan, implement, and review programs and initiatives. As a professional learning organization, KCI adheres to research-based frameworks to seek and sustain a variety of partners that continue to make KCI learning a reality for educators.
