Gay Krause is Honored with California PTA Golden Oak Service Award

Gay Krause received the Golden Oak Service Award, May 2022 from the Los Altos – Mountain View Council of PTA’s. The Golden Oak Service award is given to an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to the welfare of children and youth in a school or community.

The Los Altos – Mountain View Council of PTA’s presented Gay with a plaque signed by the Carol Green, President of the California State PTA, a lovely plant, and a PTA pin which were delivered to her office at the KCI.

The recognition ceremony was by zoom with the other award recipients, three local superintendents, the PTA council, and many others. The award included mention of the founding of the KCI and the mission was read along with a note about Gay’s passion for students.

Jeff Baier, Superintendent, Los Altos School District and Dr. Judy Crates also received continuing service awards.
