Krystal Jones, National Board Certified in early adolescent mathematics, has taught middle school math in Silicon Valley for over 20 years. She is interested in empowering those who have been marginalized and building students’ appreciation of mathematics as a language for social awareness, particularly through interdisciplinary problem-based experiences.

This school year, she has the pleasure and privilege of a teaching sabbatical. She plays with speaking, writing, and consulting on STEAM and social consciousness; this includes developing content and facilitating educator workshops for The Tech Interactive Museum of Silicon Valley. Outside of that, she plays in her garden and on the dance floor while enjoying watching her three children transition to adulthood.
