Jen Gibson, M.A.T.

Director of Strategy & Marketing
(she/her)

Santa Barbara, California

I’m the Director of Strategy & Marketing at the Krause Center for Innovation at Foothill College (Los Altos Hills, CA), a role I stepped into in 2023. My job is all about sharing the amazing work of the KCI across California and beyond, helping to tell our story and promote our mission. I’ve always had a passion for education, and I bring my background in business and marketing to this position.

Before joining the KCI team, I spent 2 ½ years as an education consultant, with KCI as one of my clients, along with other non-profits and edtech organizations. I supported my clients with everything from education strategy and digital badging to business development, adult learning, and content marketing.

My career started in public affairs, working for the Orange County Register Newspaper in marketing right after I graduated. Later, I went back to school to earn my teaching credential and a master’s in education. I spent 17 years in public education, wearing many hats: teacher, adjunct faculty at Chapman University, TOSA, and curriculum coordinator. After that, I transitioned to leadership roles in edtech, working as an executive at Lesson Planet and ABC-Clio.

I hold a B.A. in International Politics from Cal Poly Humboldt, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Chapman University, an M.S. in Education from Grand Canyon University, and a Business Certificate in Marketing from UCLA.
