Virginia Lehmkuhl-Dakhwe holds a Master’s degree in Molecular Systematics and a PhD in Molecular Biology. She has over 10 years of experience working in formal and informal STEM education in Chicago and in the Bay Area. She is currently the University STEM Education Officer at San José State University. Her particular areas of interest and program development are in integrating elements of Computational Thinking across content areas and broadening participation and persistence in STEM teaching, learning and research. She is co-Principal Investigator and contributor to National Science Foundation- and other Foundation-funded projects dedicated to computing and interdisciplinary science education.
