Lisa Highfill is an experienced educator, ed tech leader, and proud geek dedicated to reimagining how students learn through curiosity, innovation, and design. She has served Pleasanton Unified School District for over 30 years, including 20 years as a fifth-grade teacher, a decade as a technology integration specialist and instructional coach, and now as the middle school teacher for the district’s hybrid, project-based virtual academy.
Since earning her Master’s in Ed Tech Leadership in 1998, Lisa has become a Google Certified Innovator, Merit Fellow, and Leading Edge Digital Educator. She has served on advisory boards for GoogleEDU and Imagine K12 and presents widely on educational technology, blended learning, and design thinking. Lisa is also the co-creator and co-author of The HyperDoc Handbook and the Teachers Give Teachers movement.
