Since 2000, KCI has hosted innovative technology integration workshops and programs for educators all around the globe. Blossoming instructional leaders have participated and led these programs, keeping the content fresh and engaging from year to year. 

KCI’s MERIT Program, previously known as Earn While You Learn, provides many educators’ their first steps into the KCI Family of Learners. As a cohort-based program, each year the group dynamically connects and defines the impact they want to have on classrooms and schools across the state. Through the generosity of donors, this program has historically secured grant-funding to ensure that participants are empowered to pursue professional training without the added burden of tuition. 

Our MERIT21 cohort ran all online due to COVID restrictions, and our team was thrilled to engage diverse educators from all across the state as they were no longer tethered to physical space requirements. While we loved this opportunity, and will likely include more programming in online spaces, we have decided to embark on a new journey for MERIT22: to expand the in-person component of MERIT into Southern California. 

This shift means that we need to increase our instructional talent to include educational experts and change-makers throughout the state. In particular, we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic technology integrationist who would serve as the MERIT22 Assistant Director. This educator will be facilitating in-person instruction up at the KCI in Los Altos Hills as well as virtual training days in collaboration with the larger MERIT instructional team. Working in close partnership with the MERIT22 Program Director, Cate Tolnai, this individual has an opportunity to put his/her/their mark on technology integration at one of the most exciting times in online and blended education.
