AI with Purpose: Build, Plan, and Create with Gemini and NotebookLM

If you have been wondering how to make AI genuinely helpful in your work, this hands-on workshop will help you move beyond the hype and into practical use. In this session, you will build a custom Gem in Gemini to support your thinking, planning, or one of those teacher tasks that always seems to eat up your energy. You will also use NotebookLM to turn source material into resources you can actually use, while making research, prep, and content creation feel lighter and more doable.

You will not just hear about the tools. You will use them. This session is built around play, experimentation, and real application, with space to connect everything to your own role, classroom, or workflow. The goal is to help you work smarter, think more clearly, and create with more intention without losing what makes your work human and you. You will leave with ideas you can use, something you have already started, and a clearer sense of how these tools can actually support your work.

Donation Sliding Scale

We’re trying something new. Our grant-subsidized workshops that we normally charge $40 (in reality a $350 value) are going to be a sliding scale where you can give what you are able.
