Textiles are moving beyond the sewing machine! Workshop attendees will explore the interactions between fabric and common makerspace equipment such as laser cutters, vinyl cutters, and 3D printers. We will learn basic circuitry to aid in sewable electronics, 3D print on mesh to create flexible armor, engrave labels on the laser cutter, cut fabric and HTV on the Cricut, and sublimate designs onto pouches. Whether you’re an experienced sewist or have never touched needle and thread, this workshop is sure to expand your textile horizons.
Donation Sliding Scale
We’re trying something new. Our grant-subsidized workshops that we normally charge $40 (in reality a $350 value) are going to be a sliding scale where you can give what you are able.
